Dr Scribble™Smart Care Scribe
For partners

For insurers, assistance providers and network operators

Every assistance case starts from zero.

A member is admitted somewhere far from home. Your case handler knows their policy number and almost nothing else. No allergies, no medicines, no history, no treating doctor to call. The first hour goes on assembling what the member could have been carrying all along.

The gap

The information exists. It is simply never where the emergency is.

Your member has a medical history. It sits with practices they have used, in formats that do not travel, behind processes that take days rather than minutes. None of that is reachable at the moment a stranger has to decide what is safe to administer.

The gap is not a records gap. It is a portability gap, and it is the reason a case that should be routine becomes a phone tree across time zones.

01

Held elsewhere

The history sits with practices the member may no longer attend.

02

Unreachable in the moment

Nothing about it is designed to be read by a stranger under pressure.

03

Reassembled by hand

Your handler rebuilds it by telephone, while the clock runs.

The offer

A carried emergency profile, in your brand, for your members.

01

Emergency ScribeScan

A scannable code carrying blood type, allergies, medicines, conditions and next of kin. No app and no login for the responder. Carried on the lock screen, in the phone's medical card, and on a printed card that works with a flat battery.

02

The member's own vault

Consultation summaries and history, held by the member, shared by decision rather than by default. Encrypted, with a tamper-evident mark on every entry.

03

Built from a real consultation

The profile is drawn from records a practitioner confirmed, not a form the member filled in from memory. That is what separates it from a self-declared profile.

04

Carried in your name

Presented as your member benefit. The code your member scans, and the card in their wallet, carry your brand rather than ours.

Why it fits your economics

A benefit that is used before it is claimed on.

PartnerWhat it changes
Travel insurers and assistance providersAn assistance case opens with clinical context rather than a policy number. The member carries the information into the room, which is the only place it is needed and the one place a claims system cannot reach.
Network operatorsA benefit with a reason to be opened between trips rather than a voucher that is remembered once a year. It attaches to the person, not the handset, and it is awkward to leave behind at the point of switching.
Corporate and group schemesDuty-of-care evidence for travelling staff, and a defensible answer to the question of what was in place when something went wrong abroad.

Effects on case handling time, retention and claims cost are the outcomes this is designed to influence. We have not put figures against them here, because we do not yet have your book to measure them on. We would rather agree a measurement approach with you at pilot than quote an industry average back at you.

How it deploys

Your members, our record layer, your brand on the front.

Members reach the product through a participating practice, which is what keeps the record clinical rather than self-declared. Your role is distribution, eligibility and presentation.

The practical work is a pilot on a defined member segment, with agreed measures, before anything is offered book-wide.

Data residency, processing terms and the responsibilities of each party are settled in the agreement before any member is enrolled. We are a South African controller operating under South African privacy law, and cross-border handling is a term to be agreed, not an afterthought.

Standards, not free text

The record underneath is coded, not typed.

Consultations are coded in SNOMED CT with the billable ICD-10 equivalent, under a national affiliate licence. For a partner that matters because it makes the record interoperable with the systems you already exchange data with, rather than a block of prose somebody has to interpret.

Next step

A pilot on one segment, with measures agreed up front.

The useful conversation is a narrow one. Which member segment, what we would measure, over what period, and what would have to be true for it to go wider.
